ISLAMIC PRODUCTS
The Rural Community Development Program (RCDP) traces its origins to the establishment of the Rural Community Development Society (RCDS), a non-profit organization founded in 1995 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860. RCDP applied for Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) license on June 2, 2016.
RCDP recognizes the potential role of Islamic financial sector in supporting its mission to reach underserved urban populations, poor households in urban areas maintaining its commitment to empowering marginalized communities, especially women through extension of microfinance services. Islamic finance provides financial services for all segments of the population and can help increase financial inclusion. Islamic finance also serves as an alternative source for funding infrastructure and as a means of diversifying funding and risk exposures of businesses and individuals.
