Environment POLICY
Protecting our communities against any potentials adverse impact of RCDP`s supported and financed micro-finance activities is of critical importance to us and this includes any impact generated from the activates of RCDP.
This policy reflects RCDP’s commitment to comply with international best practice in delivering high quality attention to environmentally sensitive matters.
The policy will be implemented through the following;
- Creating awareness of environment issues amongst our staff, and communities we work with.
- Reducing our consumption of resources (energy, water and office materials)
- Creating a healthy work environment for our staff that fosters their wellbeing.
- Implementation a strict no smoking policy inside office premises.
- Adopting a strict and robust safety and security plan that equips RCDP staff to be prepared during emergencies and potential hazards (natural and anthropogenic)
- Reducing nuisance (air and noise emissions in particular) that could disturb the surrounding environment.
- Complying with all applicable legal and other requirements related to environmental aspects.
In line with our efforts for continual improvement RCDP’s Compliance and Quality Assurance Department will monitor the performance and progress of RCDP’s Environmental Management System.
